Adas Burksaitis’ ALIKE walks off with the Grand Prix at the Kyiv International Short Film Festival — handed by the Ukrainian Film Critics Association to a film that doesn’t play nice, but plays real.
Premiering to the world in Kyiv, ALIKE tells the story of a man, a memory, and a young actress who helps him relive his very first date — reimagined with beauty, unease, and a quiet sting. The jury called it “masterful directing” that dares to ask where the line lies — between role and reality, between power and presence.
